MCCP's philosophy is that children learn through play and exploration and that this learning is a fundamental need of the young child. We further believe that parents can support this learning through positive reinforcement, encouragement and understanding, and that parent education is a key element in providing this support.

Our Purpose
-To provide a supervised and directed learning group experience for both parents and children while having fun
-To provide an opportunity for parents to work with and observe their children in age-appropriate, teacher-guided preschool activities
-To assist in the development of our children's emotional, physical and cognitive abilities by exposing them to a variety of interactive play situations with other children and adults
We Believe That Parents
-Are the principal and primary teachers of their children
-Benefit from learning new skills to assist them with problem-solving and other parenting issues in an educational environment
-Deserve support and understanding from their peers
We Believe That Children
-Learn through self-directed free play in a developmentally appropriate environment
-Flourish in a safe and nurturing environment
-Deserve acceptance without judgment
-Deserve guidance without domination
-Deserve freedom within limits |
We Will Encourage
-Your child to understand and cope with his/her own confusing emotional reactions while feeling cared for and supported
-Your child to accept responsibility for his/her own actions and feel satisfaction for a job well done without fear or blame or recrimination for inappropriate actions
-Your child to accept authority without inhibition of his/her own innate creativity
Your child needs to love and to be loved; he/she needs the feeling of belonging which comes from affection freely given and received, from order, repetition and regularity.
